Harry Hart (Pro Hart's grandson) paints for MND >>

Harry Hart, grandson of Pro Hart, is the star of a new television advertising campaign for STAINMASTER® carpet in which he creates his own masterpiece with food all over the beautiful STAINMASTER® carpet, just like his Grandfather did 20 odd years ago.  Harry appeared on Hey Hey It’s Saturday on 23 June and created another masterpiece live on TV (see below).

Harry Hart and INVISTA (the owners of the STAINMASTER® brand) kindly donated this creation to help raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association of Queensland Inc. Harry's carpet was uactioned recently on e-bay and fetched an amazing $3,500 to help support people living with MND.

Thanks so much to everyone who put in a bid for Harry's magic carpet, and by doing so helped to raise awareness of motor neurone disease and support the services MND Queensland offers to people with MND and their families.

One Seed, Many Colours 2009
Acrylic polymer and African tulip seeds on canvas
90cm x 90cm
VALUE $2,500

Emerging Artist Carol McGregor is currently studying third year Bachelor of Contemporary Indigenous Art at the Queensland College Art, Brisbane.

One Seed, Many Colours is a work made using the different shades of the heart-shaped seed of the common street tree throughout Brisbane - the African Tulip Tree. The colour not only depends on the individual genetics of the many trees used but also the voyage of each pod that houses the fragile seeds. Some pods are from this season - unopened and fresh - while others are several years old, and the darker seeds have had pods damaged by parrots exposing the seeds to the elements.
